Choosing child care is a major decision for families, and finding the right caregiver can be challenging. While parents are a child’s first and most important influence, their caregiver also plays a key role in shaping their sense of security, confidence, and view of the world. In-home family child care provides a warm, consistent environment where children can build strong, meaningful connections.
As a state-licensed facility, Creative Minds Child Care follows all regulations set by the state of Virginia to ensure a safe, high-quality learning environment for your child.
Families enjoy a stable, nurturing environment where children grow with us from infancy to kindergarten. Unlike commercial daycare centers with frequent staff and student changes, our close-knit setting promotes consistency and reduces the spread of illness, keeping your child healthier.
Many children feel overwhelmed in large commercial daycare centers. At Creative Minds, we offer the same quality learning experience in a smaller, close-knit setting. In our home-based preschool, you and your child are valued as part of a family, not just a number.
Your child will have the same dedicated teacher from day one through kindergarten. Led by Ms. Gina Gusti — 30+ years of experience and a degree in Early Childhood Education — our small Richmond setting fosters stability, deep bonds, and healthy growth. Serving families across the Richmond area.

Social-emotional learning (SEL) helps children recognize, express, and manage their emotions while building essential communication skills.

Spanish comes alive through songs, games, and play—building language skills while connecting with culture and the world around them.

ASL makes learning fun and interactive, empowering children to feel included and actively engaged in their learning process.

Our family has had an absolutely wonderful experience with Creative Minds. As a parent, leaving your child in someone else's care is one of the hardest things to do, but the team here makes it so much easier. From day one, they have been nothing but professional, warm, and incredibly communicative. The facility is always incredibly clean and filled with happy, engaged children. I love getting photo updates throughout the day via their app—it truly makes my day to see my daughter having so much fun and learning new things. The staff members aren't just caregivers; they are passionate educators who genuinely love what they do. We've seen so much positive growth in our child's social skills and confidence. We couldn't ask for a safer, more nurturing environment. Highly recommend!Posted on Google Kyle ReeseTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Just an all around wonderful caring place!Posted on Google Robert ParkesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My son started with Ms. Gina in September and I couldn’t be happier. I returned to work and was beyond nervous to have someone watching him other than family. She called me in the mornings after drop off to ease my mind before going to work. He has grown and learned so much already, I’m so excited to see him grow with him. She does a fabulous job communicating about his day and if she notices anything off (like him getting sick). I’m just thankful to have her.Posted on Google Amanda ParkesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Gina is such a wonderful soul.
